Employment access and emotional resilience for autistic youth through inclusive training and mentoring
Pathways to Employment empowers autistic youth to thrive in the labor market by bridging the gap between their potential and real job opportunities. Through inclusive digital tools, tailored training programs, and psychoeducational support, the project equips young people, youth workers and employers with the skills to overcome employment barriers. By combining research, co-creation and accessible learning platforms, it fosters inclusion, emotional resilience and sustainable career pathways for marginalized youth across Europe.
Key Objectives
Identify barriers to employment
Map the challenges autistic youth face in accessing the labor market, such as skills mismatches, social anxiety, workplace inaccessibility, through transnational research and direct engagement.
Build skills for work and life
Develop and deliver a blended, inclusive training program (including a MOOC) that strengthens soft skills, emotional regulation, and job-readiness in autistic young people.
Empower autistic youth and promote inclusion
Foster self-confidence, self-advocacy, and a sense of belonging among autistic youth, especially those at risk of isolation or marginalization
Train Youth Workers and Employers
Provide youth workers and HR professionals with psychoeducational tools and inclusive strategies to support autistic talent and improve recruitment practices.
Build a strong European support network
Establish a cross-sectoral alliance of organizations, employers, and youth workers across Europe committed to promoting inclusive employment for autistic youth and sharing best practices at transnational level
Kogui Hub contributes significantly to the Pathways to Employment project by co-leading the design of the psychoeducational training resources and ensuring the integration of emotional well-being practices into the learning pathway for autistic youth. Drawing on its strong expertise in mental health awareness, non-formal education, and support for vulnerable and culturally diverse groups, Kogui Hub ensures that all tools: such as the MOOC and handbook are inclusive, emotionally attuned, and accessible. Its role is essential in equipping youth workers and mentors with the skills to foster self-confidence, resilience, and a supportive environment for autistic young people entering the world of work.
Prioritizing mental health is not a sign of weakness, but a commitment to living a life of strength and well-being.
