Where Kogui
comes From

Kogui Hub is the result of Cristina’s experience in Colombia. ‘Kogui’ refers to an indigenous ethnic group living in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta mountains in northern Colombia. They are known for their deep respect for nature and their sustainable way of life, based on a strong spiritual connection with the earth.

The Kogui are a living example of cultural resilience and commitment to environmental protection, offering the world a valuable lesson in the importance of living in harmony with nature.

Why Kogui?

We want to carry on their “Protection of Culture” and “Cosmovision” mentality. The Kogui have a deep spiritual connection with their land. They believe in a balance between man and nature and see the Sierra Nevada as a sacred place. Their cosmovision is centred on harmony and ecological balance, which they consider essential for the health of the world. In addition, they live in small villages consisting of round houses with thatched roofs. Their communities are organised collectively, with a strong sense of sharing and cooperation.

Strong sense of sharing, Cooperation, Protection of Culture, Cosmovision, Harmony and Ecological Balance are the essential keys we use in our mental well-being programmes.
